Tell us about your journey in becoming an interior designer, and how it led to the conception of North Interiors.

I was captivated by interior design from my early teens when I had to produce a diorama for a school project. I pursued that interest for my tertiary studies which then lead me into architectural firms where I was fortunate enough to work alongside some excellent mentors. These collaborations have been instrumental in shaping my creative perspective and given me the tools to establish my own company, North Interiors.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

I have gained a lot of experience working on numerous high-end residential projects spanning from Australia, Asia and Middle East regions. Throughout my career, I have gathered a wealth of influences and drawn inspiration from diverse people, places, and cultures I have encountered.

What are some of the biggest challenges in designing interiors for a custom luxury home and how do you address them?

I would say the biggest challenge I have encountered would be balancing aesthetics and functionality and finding ways to achieve both within the client’s budget.

Texture
Texture is emerging as a significant trend in interior design, valued for its capacity to introduce depth, dimension, warmth, and character into any space.
